Early on the morning of 27th August 2014, Stratton became the latest victim of the Wheelies. In a pre-emptive dawn raid (or maybe a bit later than that) the Wheelies were air-dropped from snow-camouflaged, low flying delivery trucks to free fall from a height of 3ft 6ins to the slumbering village below.
   
     
   
     
   
Sporadic resistance was encountered in isolated pockets with a few small raids on the invaders leading to a slow-down in their advance. The picture below shows a Wheelie being wrestled to the ground . . . . .
   
     
   
     
    . . . . . being left with serious, but not life threatening, injuries.    
     
   
     
   
The villagers had no chance. By late breakfast time the invasion was over, control complete, and unarmed Wheelies were strategically positioned, standing silent guard outside every residence.
