SERVICING THE CLOCK AT ST MARY'S, STRATTON

In the spring of 2014 the church clock at St Mary’s, Stratton stopped chiming the hour. Jackdaws had pushed their way past wire mesh fitted to the louvres of the bell tower and jammed the west-facing clock mechanism with large twigs. On Thursday 5th February 2015 engineers from Smiths of Derby cleaned and serviced the clock mechanism.
