Do you need a lift to get to the doctor or dentist or to visit friends in hospital or collect prescriptions, in fact for any reason at all (within reason) and there is no public transport available? Don't have a car?

Don't forget this voluntary car scheme is up and running for you to use - with a brand new name and a new organiser. The new name has brought a few changes - the cost to you, the user, will stay at 40p per mile, but mileage starts and ends at the driver's home - this is to be paid to the driver at the time of the journey, along with any parking charges if they are necessary.

All drivers are CRB checked and insured before they provide this service. We also have public liability insurance for your peace of mind. Currently all of our drivers live in Sydling St Nicholas, so come on other villagers, we need you to volunteer too so we can keep the prices down for those villagers as well.

We now have a new organiser too, as of 1st October, as our previous one is off to pastures new. So now if you require a lift, please call Catherine Hodgson on 01300 341386 or email with your requirements - if possible with at least 48 hours' notice - and we will do our best to find you a driver.

Anyone who would be willing to sign up as a volunteer driver, however much or little time you have to give, please contact Catherine and also use the same contact details for more information.
