Loss of power to electric pump results in road flooding.
15th January 2015
The early hours of Thursday 15th January 2015 saw a power cut that resulted in flooding on the A37 beneath the railway bridge and traffic disruption when a car got stuck in the water. Power company Southern Electric were fairly quick off the mark with providing hot food and drinks and the Saxon Arms opened its doors with an invitation to sit by the log fire. Different parts of the parish had power restored at different times.
