WHO WILL BE ELECTED AS CHAIR OF STRATTON PARISH COUNCIL?

Who will be elected Chair of Stratton Parish Council at its meeting on Tuesday 20th September? There are five serving Councillors. Three were elected unopposed. Two were co-opted.

Our three elected members are: Vice Chair Cheryl Hobbs who was elected as a Stratton Parish Councillor in May 2015 having served during the previous three months as a co-opted member and who has been acting as Chair since the resignation from the Council of the elected Chair. Andy Aylott, who has extensive previous experience - 15 years or so - as a Stratton Parish Councillor, Vice-Chair and Chair, and who was elected in May 2015. And Peter Hallett, who has served on the Council intermittently for many years. He too, was elected in May 2015.

Our two co-opted Councillors are: Pete Jackson who was co-opted in May 2015 and Hannah Richardson who became a Stratton Councillor in March 2016.

Co-opted members are those who have not been elected but have offered their service and been accepted by serving Councillors.

Stratton is entitled to seven Parish Councillors.
